Samui
is not only paradise on the beach, but also a place that offers hard to miss
culinary excellence. Restaurants around the island offer fine cuisines such
as Thai (local and royal), Italian, Californian-Thai Fusion, International,
Japanese, French, Vietnamese, Indian, Mediterranean, Brazilian, Tex-Mex, etc.
International cuisine is available on popular beaches like Chaweng and Lamai,
but seafood is served everywhere, and of course, at very competitive prices.

Visitors should also try the large range of tropical fruits and fresh coconut. The Fishing Village of Hua Thanon is the only Muslim Community on Koh Samui and has a fish market everyday where it is possible to buy the freshest and cheapest fish on the island.
